The forested Ardennes region is home to a workhorse with ancient origins. Rustic, hard, and tireless. Praised long ago for use as cavalry, eventually becoming the hard-working draft horses of the region still used today. Like these beasts-of-burden, John is really only happy when working hard.
Standard refers to the criteria by which we measure something, a goal we may aspire to. It is also the banner or guidon we rally around; a symbol we follow into the fray.

John Westergard had a decade long adventure with the US Army, serving as a medic, nurse, and cavalry scout. The experience was invaluable, and he is eternally grateful for the character-developing experiences alongside a stellar group of individuals.

Realigning his focus, he graduated summa cum laude from CU Denver prior to entering the field of architecture.  Designing bespoke homes from the start. Today he guides a team of talented designers obsessed with beauty; and together they create spaces intended to awe, yet also cultivate intimacy among friends and family.
